A new start.
Hey guys.Your senior here.Well it looks like the blog isn't that active anymore.And I'm gonna need your help to make it a place for you to visit every time you switch on your computer.Before that,just a quick update..
Upcoming activities for the year:
1)Combined Concert with Mayflower Secondary on 30/6/10
2)ABRSM Examination
First of all,you guys could suggest any songs that could be put on the music section.I don't really mind the genre since it is for you guys to listen and talk between members.
Speech Day was over and it was a great performance.I hope that you guys felt that it was worth the effort you all had put in during the practice.All of you should have the confidence to believe in yourself as I know that all of you are capable in doing the things that you are interested in.Continue to work hard guys!

Holiday Practices + Camp
Hii all.
Here are the dates and time for the holiday practices:
3Nov2009 (Tuesday) : 0900-1130
5Nov2009(Thursday) : 1330-1600
10Nov2009(Tuesday) : 0900-1130
12Nov2009(Thursday) : 1330-1600
28Dec2009(Monday) : 1330-1600
As mentioned, you will be informed if there is/are any changes made to the timing(s). =))

hello choir!
Congrates to the new committee!(: must try your best to do a great job and bring the choir further.I'm very sure that you all have the ability to do that.Yes..choir is Cca that needs a lot of teamwork and cooperation as well as being attentive. You all have been practicising 2 days weekly just to be prepared and put up a good 5 mins concert that everyone woud clap for.The audience would definitely enjoy the song you all are singing when u are enjoying it! Always remember the Key to singing is to SMILE no matter what happens.
There are times when you failed to do something to the standard that you expect.but the most important thing is that you enjoy the time when ypu prepare for it and of course learning new things on the way.."If u fail to do something, Stand up firmly and try again!" Failing is the key to success.
Last but not least..even though we have step down..u all still can approach us if there is anything.
we are just one call away..

Farewell
We have gone through so much as a Choir and still remain firm even though our size is small.After so many practice,we accomplished many things and learn to improve ourselves through our Co-Curricular Activity(CCA) such as skills that requires leadership,team work and perseverance.Without these skill we would not be standing here.Although we never really spent a whole one year with the new members, to me and Wen Jing and the rest of the old committee it felt that this opportunity was given to us that made us believed that this Choir could still go on. When all of you watched us during your Secondary 1 Orientation, you saw the number of our Choir back then.
We believe in all of you and would keep believing forever that this Choir stands and with those three skills,you would all go very far.Always remember to do your best in Choir and do your homework.Also remember to smile,yawn,breathe properly and remember your first note.Also your scores,pencil and water bottle every practice.Last but not least,concentrate!
You might not realize it but when its your turn to step down, you would look back and wonder why the time went too fast.My advice to you is that you should cherish the things that you enjoy before you regret it once it is all over.
Though our days are over being your leader,we would still be watching over you and helping if you need any assistance.And to the new committee, I and Wen Jing wishes you all the best with the Choir and do your best in your position as a committee.Though you are still new, it's okay to make mistake as we are all learning and that is what we came for to do.Our life is a learning journey and we always take small steps to obtain an achievement through persevering and supporting one another.
And finally,I and Wen Jing congratulate the new committee!

Updates
There will be practice this coming Thursday 28/5/09.The timing would remain the same boys 3pm and girls 3.45pm.
Holiday practice would be up as soon as possible and the current day would be the 2nd week of the June holiday on Tuesday and Thursday.Though this is not the final confirmation by the committees and the teacher-in-charge.Take note that there will be choir practice during the holiday.
Also,this coming Thursday 28/5/09,all choir members are expected to come even those that had stepped down as the new committee would be taking up their position and the current one would be stepping down on that day.The new committee would be reveal on that day itself so don't go and ask who it would be from the current committee or the teacher-in-charge.

Bishan Park Concert
Hey Bishan Park Choir is having a joint concert with Beatty and Dunearn Secondary,if any of you are interested you can get the ticket for $12 through Mr Benedict Goh.It will be on 28 May,7.30pm at Victoria Concert Hall.Also don't forget to inform your parents if you are going as there will not be any letters given by the Teacher-In-Charge as it is a public concert.
And last but not least good luck for your examinations,study hard and do well.

Notice

Speech day!
hello choir!(:
Good effort today and guess what? i think u all sing well today and most importantly enjoyed ourselves during the performance! Well, i am sure that the sec 4s and 5s would have a deep memory of the speech day. See, hard work, concentration and team work definitely pay off! Till here, i guess this would probably be the last performance that the sec 4s and 5s would perform with u all. I hope that for the further performances u all would put in all your best and WE, sec 4s and 5s, would be giving u all the support the choir need as the audience. Sometimes, the seniors are fierce or strict to u all but i hope that u all know that they are doing this for the choir and hope to put up a good show.
Last but not least, examinations are round the corner, study hard for it and get good grades!(:

Speech Day Reminder
Speech Day is on Friday and all of you are release at 11.10am.The acknowledgment letter have been given to you either today or tomorrow.Choir members are expect to come for Choir at 2.30pm for Friday.Please memorize your song entitled "One Song" as it would be a very "intensive" practice on Friday.
You are expect to bring your Choir t-shirt along on Friday.Girls with fringe would need to clip it back so that guests during performance can see your face.Remember to smile always when singing and also project your voice when singing by dropping jaw,yawn,support and also have confidence with the song you are singing.
Your entry for the school song must be strong and the crescendo at the "see" section.Also don't forget the verse for "One Song".Also don't forget to have plenty of rest and water refrain chocolate and spicy food for now.

Urgent Reminder
All choir members would have to report to the school hall at 2.30pm on Wednesday 8/4/2009 which is tomorrow for rehearsal on Speech Day ceremony.We are currently only performing the school song for the opening ceremony for the Speech Day Rehearsal.Please pass down this message to all choir members and ensure that they are punctual for tomorrow rehearsal.If anyone have classes until 3.10pm,please inform the seniors.It might be a late notice as we were just notified today also for the rehearsal.Hope that everyone could make it for tomorrow first rehearsal.
Important:All Choir members are required to bring scores for "One Song" and "Kyrie" for tomorrow practice.I stressed once more that you are to remind one another for the update.That's for now

Reminder
Hey everyone here's an update of what's going on right now.
In the month of April ,Choir Practice for guys would have to report for Choir at 3pm for Thursday practice.Please be punctual for the practice as it is quite important.
Also don't forget to bring $1 for the choir fund for those who are still outstanding their payment and those that own the choir t-shirt and have not yet pay $10 please do so.
One more Important things Don't forget to bring your scores,water bottle and pencil with you for every practice even if you have memorize the song it is still required to be with you for reference or notes.
Monday Practice as usual.
If there are any changes to our choir room you would be inform by the committee members or teacher-in-charge.
